Selangor FC congratulates the two Red Giants’ players who were crowned top scorers awards during the Anugerah Bolasepak Kebangsaan 2020 (ABK20) earlier this evening. They are;

• Ifedayo Olusegun - Top Scorer of the CIMB Liga Super & Golden Boot Award
• Danial Asri - Local Liga Premier Top Scorer

ABK20 kicked off with the presentation of awards with the Premier League Local Top Scorer category held by Danial Asri, a player from the Selangor 2 team.

Danial is the only local player to be included in the top 5 Premier League scorers with seven goals. This award also made the 20-year-old Danial the youngest recipient of the award that night.

He is a player developed from the Selangor Youth team from 2018 to 2019 and the 2020 season is his first year in the Malaysian professional league.

"I did not expect to be the top local scorer this season but I am very proud of my first season achievement in the Malaysian professional league," explained Danial.

"Thank you to those involved in my success today. This award is also for all of them,” Danial added after being named the Premier League Local Top Scorer.

Besides Danial, another Red Giant striker, Ifedayo Olusegun has also won the Super League Top Scorer and received the Golden Boot Award.

The Nigerian-born striker has scored a hat-trick in Selangor's last match of the season against Felda United and has scored 12 goals in seven matches in the 2020 season.

Ifedayo expressed his gratitude to all involved. This also saw him repeating the success won by another Selangor striker, Rufino Segovia for the 2018 season.

“Thank God for the achievements given. I would also like to thank everyone who helped me at SFC, including players, technical crew members, management, people in the office, and fans," said Ifedayo after being confirmed as the winner of the ABK20 Super League and Golden Boot Award.

Selangor FC is very proud of the achievements of Ifedayo Olusegun, Danial Asri, and all the other Red Giants players for the 2020 season. Congratulations. The work will continue for 2021.
